Amos, the prophet of old, said: “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7)
But does God call his servants the prophets and leave them to their own? No, God asks His people to accept them and to uphold them.
“For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.” (Matt. 1:13-15)
On April 6th, 1830 the fledgling organization (which was to become the Restored Church through Joseph Smith Jr.) asked of those gathered in the small log home of Peter Whitmer that momentous day…. “will you accept us as your leaders?”
“Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.” (Job 22:22)
To receive is to be given something and to be willing to accept it, such as a gift. And this is the abiding way of God, is it not? To offer freely gifts and blessings the greatest of which is eternal salvation.
“He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.” (Matt 10:40)
We would encourage everyone to listen and read the things posted on this website and pray to know the truth of it. Then we ask you to unite with us in mighty prayer uplifting our Brothers – Joseph, Mauricio, the 10 witnesses and their families to our Heavenly Father for His blessing of protection, guidance and to strengthen each of them for His purposes according to the offices and callings for which they have been set apart. May we always remember that God does not call the qualified, he qualifies the called.
